Ain’t shit funny
spending other people’s money
but there ain’t no other way
I can’t afford to record
you gotta pay to play
to get your foot up in the door
the day to day today
crazier than days before
older generations hate
what open minds can’t ignore
like it or not
we are fast, generation 4
I know my tweet about my facebook has probly got you floored
but that’s the world now, world news on cable chords
nothing’s sacred anymore
not priests or warlords,
beats or C Chords,
even on these shores
of “freedom from” and “freedom for”…
we’re all just a digit with a profile pic
so hurry up pose, smile, *click*

The Day-to-Day Today
In Uncategorized on December 15, 2010 at 3:53 pmUnemployment Day 31
In Unemployed on December 23, 2009 at 9:32 pmIt’s a Wednesday and i woke up late
Breakfast in bed, PB toast and eggs
Hooked the lady up, then it was time to make moves
Spin some records, write rhymes and break grooves
down into beats you can feel in your feet
that bounce in your heart as you walk down the street
Off to the bank, trying to get some change
Takes a little longer cuz something looks strange
Opened a new account, know they got doubts…
all of sudden it’s ok, i grab my bills and I’m out
Down to Joe’s Market and my old side of town
Where all the college kids and degenerates get down
Basement rooms, but big screens with surround sound
Watch how all of your worries get drowned out
It’s going down now,
back to the crib to hook up an old friend
Burn some sage, slap a 5 and exchange ends
Then it’s on to doing work, I can’t pretend
that I got time to waste til the day that I’m dead
Post a new article, compose a new rap
send a mass e-mail, networking’s where it’s at
Back to facebook to add some admins
This last show should definitely be slamming
http://www.facebook.com/thehotboxmusic
Now I’m writing my rap of the day
before I head out and hit the Highway
Looks like a storm is in the brewing on the way
to the Brew yes we’ll be doing our thang
It’s cold out for now, hurry up next sprang
Can’t wait til the warm weather hit-its
Making Moves ’010 let’s go out and get it
Wednesday, The Technology Hater
In Uncategorized on October 1, 2009 at 6:02 pm
Fuck technology
Compuers owe me an apology
swallowing up my day like they were night, all my college-ing
I sweated over papers only to delete them later
went to the tech guy on campus, got no favors
Slut sticks and graphic cards
you can have it back for sure
I’m in need of something a little more lacklustor
Oregon trail was the shit I admit
but that’s about it
Gimme back technology of 1986
Record players, two buttons, one joystick
all you techy lovers, hope you’re annoyed yet
Your boys pissed
Fuck a PC that breaks down sure as a clock tics
Fuck a mac, they ain’t logical for shit
Fuck your Linux and your windows
I’m a sing in the rain, smoke out a window
Run through the streets, feel the moon glow
You can sit by your campfire screen saver tho
I’m a get real girls, fuck a myspace ho
fuck your facebook status update
I don’t give a fuck what you just ate
twitter can suck a twat, that’s about all i got
If you need to find me I’ll be on the block
Thursday – An Open Love Letter
In Uncategorized on September 24, 2009 at 7:23 pmHer first words were
I don’t understand it
I thought we planned it
I was your moon and you were my planet
Then you go and get a relationship?
that’s what facebook says
What I been feeling lately ain’t make sense
I said look
I didn’t write my book, i’m just living it
let me explain, hold up gimme a minute…
See, Being happy for me
ain’t mandatory, but just know this
I’m in a better place, a better orbit
Mentally a better space for this unknown poet
Don’t try to absorb it, just know i’m focused
Now,
I ain’t saying we wouldn’t a made it
I’m just saying i can’t do this far away shit
middle of the night, upset because you’re wasted
Far away during the day, i cant take it
I’ve done that before, that before didn’t work
Now I got it locked down, it wasn’t meant to hurt
We wasn’t what we deserved, we both deserved better
This ain’t specific, this is an open love letter
